06 February 2015

The Public Service Commission (PSC) in partnership with the Lekwa and Thembesile Hani Local Municipalities will be hosting the Citizens’ Forums with Community members about issues affecting service delivery. The forums aim to amongst others, evaluate service delivery in the area; enable the active involvement of people affected by government programmes in service delivery improvements processes; assess the delivery of specific service delivery programmes; improve participation in the planning and implementation of service delivery programme; and make recommendations on how to improve service delivery. The iinspections are also meant to entrench a citizens and service-centred culture, and reinforce accountability across the Public Service. The PSC Commissioners will use these service delivery inspections to experience what is happening in service delivery sites, thereby strengthening the PSC’s oversight work.
