Council to Sign a Memorandum of Understanding to Provide a
Framework for Collaboration in Selected Areas

The Public Service Commission (PSC) and the Human
Sciences Research Council (HSRC) will sign a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) to provide a framework for collaboration
in selected areas of research, development, administrative
initiatives and other resources and matters related thereto.
Specific areas of collaboration will include amongst
others:
- Developing appropriate policies and legislation to
promote integration in government development programmes
and service delivery;
- Providing strategic interventions, support and
partnerships to facilitate policy implementation;
- Creating enabling mechanisms for communities to
participate in governance; and
- Considering models for the professionalization of
the public service and local government
The Chairperson of the PSC, Advocate RK Sizani as well as
the Chief Executive Officer of the HSRC, Professor CA
Soudien will lead the signing of the MoU.
