Central Suppliers Database
National Treasury launched the National Central Supplier database (NCSD) with
effect from 1 September 2015.This will enable prospective suppliers to register
their companies on the website
www.csd.gov.za
Transitional Period (1 September 2015 - 31 March 2016)
- During the transitional period suppliers are requested to
register on the website where all their essential information
such as Tax Clearance Certificates, VAT, company registration
numbers and CIPC business status will be verified.
- When conducting business with the department, you will be requested to provide us with the following:
- Supplier number and
- Supplier Registration Security Code so we can print out your real time information
- Banking details with bank stamp and
- Certified BEE certificate
Once a supplier has registered on NCSD, it will no longer be a
requirement to provide the department with original Tax Clearance
Certificates or any other registration documents.
After Transitional Period - 1 April 2016
Effective from the 1 April 2016, the Government
will only award business to suppliers who are registered
on NCSD and suppliers will no longer be required to provide
information as stipulated above.
